Christopher Carr Earns Axon’s 2026 Enterprise Security Trailblazer Award

A collaborative effort to strengthen workplace safety across our organization is earning national recognition.

Director of Security Services Christopher Carr has received Axon’s 2026 Enterprise Security Trailblazer Award. This prestigious recognition honors industry leaders who drive transformative advancements in enterprise safety, security and organizational resilience through innovation, collaboration and measurable impact.

Our organization’s commitment to safety is driven by a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach that unites Security Services, Nursing, Behavioral Health, Social Work, Family Advocacy, Compliance, Risk Management, Legal and other key stakeholders across Texas Children’s. The Workplace Violence Prevention Program exemplifies this approach, evolving into a comprehensive enterprise-wide program that integrates clinical and security perspectives to proactively identify risks, prevent violence and foster a safer environment for patients, families, team members and visitors.

The initiative combines proactive risk assessments, scenario-based training, real-time response coordination and technology, including body-worn cameras, to support transparency, de-escalation and patient-centered care while preserving the dignity, privacy and trust of patients and families. The program also provides a scalable model for addressing complex safety challenges across healthcare.

“Receiving Axon’s Enterprise Security Trailblazer Award is truly an honor, but more importantly, it reflects the collective commitment of an entire team dedicated to protecting others,” Christopher said. “At Texas Children’s, safety is not just a function, it’s a shared responsibility grounded in compassion, accountability and innovation. This recognition validates the work our teams do every day to create safer environments for patients, families and staff, and it reinforces our commitment to continue pushing the boundaries of what healthcare security can achieve.”

Please join us in congratulating Christopher and the teams across our organization whose collaboration helped make this well-deserved achievement possible!
