Family members of active-duty or deployed military often experience heightened anxiety, fear and uncertainty. The Workforce Well-Being Team is available to support you during these challenging times.

Emotional Support Resources

If you are experiencing challenging time with an increase in stress, fear, depression or anxiety, the following licensed clinicians are available to support you through the internal EAP:

  • Counseling with licensed EAP counselors in-person or via telehealth. Please call 832.824.3327 to schedule an appointment

  • On-Site Workforce Chaplains devoted to employee support.

  • In-the-moment crisis support- 24/7 services by contacting EAP at 832-824-3327

Mindfulness and Relaxation Resources – EAP plus by Headspace

Mindfulness can strengthen resilience during high stress, including unpredictable deployments, by reducing anxiety, improving sleep, and helping you respond to your emotions in a healthier way. EAP Plus by Headspace features hundreds of guided mindfulness exercises to help you reduce stress and sleep better. EAP Plus by Headspace also offers confidential and local work-life services to help with child and elder care as well as legal and financial guidance.

  • Military OneSource (800-342-9647): provides free, confidential non-medical counseling

  • American Red Cross: provides 24/7 support for deployed military families through the Hero Care Network, offering emergency communication, financial aid, and counseling services. Families can access these services via the Hero Care App, online, or by calling 877-272-7337.
