Chief of Pediatric Hospital Medicine Dr. Ricardo Quiñonez has earned national recognition for his leadership, impact and commitment to pediatric academic medicine. The Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) board of directors has appointed Dr. Quiñonez as program chair-elect and future program chair for upcoming PAS meetings, recognizing his sustained contributions to the field and long-standing service to PAS.
For more than a decade, Dr. Quiñonez has been an active contributor to PAS, serving as a presenting author, session moderator and program committee member. In these roles, he has helped strengthen PAS as a leading national forum for pediatric research, education and collaboration.
His influence extends well beyond PAS. Dr. Quiñonez has served as chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Hospital Medicine and held board roles with the Academic Pediatric Association and the American Board of Pediatrics. He is widely recognized for bringing together diverse perspectives and aligning efforts to improve care and outcomes for children.
Dr. Quiñonez will serve as PAS program chair-elect from July 2026 through June 2028 for the PAS 2027 and 2028 meetings and will serve in the role of program chair from July 2028 through June 2030 for the PAS 2029 and PAS 2030 meetings.
