Texas Children’s recognized for pioneering applications of technology to drive and redefine evidence-based best practices

Following their virtual presentation on July 28, to the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), the Quality, Clinical, and Information Services (IS) teams learned that Texas Children’s is among HIMSS’ 2022 Davies Award of Excellence international winners for information and technology advancements.

“Driving to the best outcomes is a deliberate action,” said Dr. Eric Williams, Chief Quality Officer. We are extremely proud of what our teams have achieved through the use of informatics tools to do just that. Receipt of the Davies Award is a clear indication of the importance of their accomplishments.”

The three cases presented were:

The HIMSS Davies Award provides a platform for Texas Children’s care teams to share cases at a national and international level by having their cases published, as well as the opportunity to present them at the annual HIMSS Global Conference in April 2023.
