For over a decade, Rosie Alvarado has been best known for her enormous personality at Texas Children’s. She believes that no matter what, in health care, it is all about the patient. Rosie is an Ambulatory Service Representative II for the Department of Urology. She provides excellent customer service as the first contact for patients, providers, and staff accessing ambulatory clinics. She uses her positive temperament as a comforting mechanism for patients before they step foot in the examination room.
Rosie always remains prepared and maintains an excellent attitude throughout the day. She constantly uses positive affirmations and compliments patients and their families. Patient satisfaction is always her goal as she works tirelessly to expedite all of the outpatient check-in and check-out processes to minimize wait times.
Her care and compassion is evident in the relationships she builds with patients and their families. She calls them by name, knows their favorite colors, and always asks them about their day. The uncomfortable feeling patients have when they walk into the hospital is nonexistent when Rosie is present.
