Why Voting Matters for Health Care

As health care professionals, we see every day how public policy decisions affect our patients, our workplace and the communities we serve. That’s why participation in the upcoming Texas primary election is important.

Primary elections play a critical role in determining which candidates and ideas move forward to represent Texans at the state and national levels. These decisions help shape health care policy on issues that directly impact our hospital, our teams and the patients we care for.

Make a plan to vote during early voting from February 17–27 or on Primary Election Day, March 3. Taking part in the primary election is one of the most direct ways to ensure the perspectives of health care workers are represented.
