Texas Children’s is always looking for ways to showcase the amazing things happening within our teams and in your departments. You witness magic, miracles and milestones and we want to know more.
We’ve received great story ideas in the last few months, such as the amazing efforts of Patient Transporter Leroy James and Gilda Villarreal’s EVS Celebration Award.
Here are some details on the types of stories we can feature and some examples:
- New programs, procedures or ways of working (QGenda Replaces SPOK for on-call scheduling)
- New or renovated areas in our facilities (NICU Expands with 14 Additional Beds)
- Teams or individuals going above and beyond for their patients and/or partners (Urgent Care APPs expand patient care)
- Insight into the great work your team does (Nurse Practitioners Foster Collaboration and Excellence)
- People who want to share their passion about working at Texas Children’s (Alana Moser Advocates for Quality Education for Patients)
- Organizational wide initiatives that could impact operations or are useful in your day to day (Epic System Upgrade)
- Awards, recognition either internal or external, but external awards must relate to work at Texas Children’s (Administrative Assistant of the Year, BRAVO)
-
Note: This doesn’t have to be an official award from an organization. If you want to recognize someone for doing great work, we accept submissions for those stories as well.

-
If you have a timely project or program, please reach out at least three weeks in advance, so we have plenty of time to work on the story and ensure there’s room on our calendar as spaces fill up quickly.
How to Submit your Story
Whenever you have a story to share, be sure to fill out our Connect submission form. If the story is a good fit to feature on Connect, the Communications team will reach out for further details.
We can’t wait to hear more from our One Amazing Team!
