At Texas Children’s, we are driven by our mission to create a healthier future for children and women. At the heart of this is patient care and our patients’ experience.
We are committed to providing high-quality service to ensure a positive and healing experience and we rely on our patients and families to share with us how well we are doing.
To do this, we collect feedback in a variety of ways, including patient satisfaction surveys. Patients are asked several questions to measure their satisfaction on moments of their care. From access to billing, friendliness of their team to communication with their provider, we listen to what matters most and implement improvements based on their feedback.
Families also share an overwhelmingly amount of positive recognition and gratitude for exceptional care provided. One section of the survey specifically asks about a patients’ experience with their care provider.
Every quarter physicians and advance practice providers who achieve top performance of a 99 mean score or higher receive a lapel pin in recognition for their care experience. Providers can accumulate different colored lapel pins based on the number of quarters in high performance.
