Peter Gomez Celebrates 40th Anniversary at Texas Children’s

Forty years ago, Peter Gomez started his journey at St. Luke’s Hospital as a patient escort before finding his home in Supply Chain. When St. Luke’s and Texas Children’s separated, he chose to stay with Texas Children’s and has held numerous positions over the past four decades.

His colleagues and friends from across departments recently came together to honor Peter’s contributions at a fun event catering by Johnny Tamales.

Peter has worn many hats over the years serving in different roles, including supply stocker, window technician, equipment tracker all leading to his current role as senior materials technician. Known for his unwavering commitment and professionalism, Peter has made a lasting impression on his colleagues.

“Peter’s four decades of service exemplify what it means to lead with HEART,” said Mike Brown, vice president, Supply Chain. “His dedication has helped us grow stronger and better serve our patients and team members. We celebrate his remarkable career and the inspiration he continues to bring to our teams.”

In addition to honoring Peter’s milestone anniversary, the Supply Chain department commemorated National Health Care Supply Chain Week earlier this month with campus celebrations to honor the teams’ contributions. These dedicated teams play a vital role in keeping our hospital running smoothly ensuring every department has the essential equipment and supplies needed to deliver exceptional patient care.

Join us in honoring Peter for 40 dedicated years of service and thanking the Supply Chain team for everything they do to support our team members and patients every day!
