Kimberly Barnes is the only Medical Assistant at Eagle Springs Specialty Care, rooming every patient who walks through the clinic’s doors. In addition, Kimberly fulfills many additional roles focused on patient safety and customer service.
Always wearing a smile and a positive, can-do attitude, Kimberly goes to great lengths to make sure patients, families and staff are treated well. She helps her coworkers make reminder phone calls and assists during procedures when needed. For patients, she plays and colors with them, puts on their favorite movies, and consoles them when they are having a tough day.
Kimberly also is Eagle Springs Specialty Care’s Patient Experience Champion and Quality Initiative Champion. In these roles, she plans and coordinates activities throughout the year for patient engagement, and she ensures all quality improvement data is recorded each month. Kimberly goes a step further by helping align her clinic’s efforts with infection prevention, making sure all disinfection, sterilization and lab processes are following Joint Commission standards.
