Jeremy Hall

Physical and Occupational Therapist Technician
Texas Children’s Hospital at the Medical Center
2019 Unsung Hero

Jeremy Hall is an integral part of the Inpatient Therapy Team at Texas Children’s Hospital in the Medical Center. When he’s not running around the hospital finding equipment for his 20 therapists, Jeremy is looking for innovative ways to better support his team. He facilitates much of their day-to-day operations, adapts to each therapist’s style of practice and integrates himself seamlessly to help patients get the most out of their sessions.

Standing over six feet tall, Hall wears a Super Hero shirt under his scrubs as a way to connect with patients, many of whom call him Superman. His colleagues say they often find him on bended knee delivering a kind word.

“Jeremy has been a bright light in our department since he started working with us a year ago,” said Physical Therapist and Advanced Clinical Specialist Danielle Cousins. “He makes our jobs as therapists easier and more efficient, and is always looking for ways to help us provide better patient care.”

Recently, Jeremy learned how to drive the van for the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit because he knew drivers were limited. He assumed responsibility for equipment and communication devices, and he has been trained to cover duties in Lester and Sue Smith Legacy Tower and the Wallace Tower pool for aquatic therapy.

Jeremy’s colleagues said he consistently shows a genuine desire to help others and is always showing initiative to support the team.

“Jeremy has a kind, encouraging word for our team every morning,” said Occupational Therapist Sarah Robinson. “Not only do we appreciate him, but so do the families we work with. They always have a kind word to say about his contagious smile.”
