Appointments now available beginning Nov. 3 for Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 5-11

Texas Children’s Team Members,

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and state have issued the necessary authorization and approvals for administration of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children 5- to 11-years-old.

Texas Children’s Hospital now has appointments available beginning Wednesday, Nov. 3 and after to provide free Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations for children and adolescents 5 years or older.

HOW CAN I SCHEDULE AN ADOLESCENT FOR THE COVID-19 VACCINE?

There are two ways for our team members to schedule a vaccine appointment for a child or adolescent aged 5 years or older:
1.  If the child receiving the vaccine is a Texas Children’s patient, you can schedule a vaccine appointment for him/her through their MyChart account.
2.  If the child does not have a MyChart account, you or anyone in the community can schedule a vaccine appointment for him/her through www.texaschildrens.org/covidscheduling. Feel free to share this link with individuals of any relation to you – a spouse, partner, parent, friend, etc. – who would like to receive a vaccine at Texas Children’s.
