Congratulations to Director of Healthcare Technology Management Andrew Stiles on receiving the Patriot Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an Office of the Secretary of Defense.
Bao-Viet Luu, SPOT advisor, nominated Stiles for supporting his military active duty responsibilities and helping him navigate Texas Children’s leave process.
“Andrew provided direct support of my Air National Guard service as a First Sergeant…he ensured I received Texas Children’s policies on military leave and service requirements, and sought out HR guidance to allow me to serve in my military capacity during drills and short notice activations associated with my duties,” said Luu.
“He coordinated with other managers and staff within the organization to ensure I was afforded the flexibility to respond to Airmen crisis situations, and as a result allowed me to focus on providing the best care to the Airmen of the 147th Medical Group. He is supportive of not only me but also others within the HTM department who are serving in the Guard and Reserves.”
