Woodlands community website recognizes Texas Children’s

Three Texas Children’s Pediatrics physicians and Texas Children’s Urgent Care have received accolades from the Woodlands community via a community website’s annual favorite businesses in The Woodlands contest.

Held in February and sponsored by Woodlandsonline.com, the contest allows the community to vote on their favorite businesses in The Woodlands. Texas Children’s Pediatrics Woodlands physician Dr. Amish Bhakta claimed first place in the Best Pediatrician category. Texas Children’s Pediatrics Sterling Ridge physician Dr. Susan Parkerson received second place in the same category and Dr. William Nix, also of Texas Children’s Pediatrics Sterling Ridge, got third.

Texas Children’s Urgent Care in the Woodlands finished third under the Best Urgent Care category after opening less than a year ago. Open weekday evenings and weekends, the center is staffed by board-certified pediatricians and are equipped to diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and injuries. If a patient’s illness or injury requires a higher level of care, our staff is able to stabilize and transfer that patient to an appropriate pediatric hospital.
