On Thanksgiving Day, November 22, the Katy Area YMCA will be hosting its 16th annual Turkey Dash. Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus is a proud sponsor of the event that will be held just a few miles from West Campus.
This fun run is an event for the entire family, whether you’re a veteran runner or participating in your first race. There will also be a post-race party packed with food, giveaways, a photo booth and a kid’s fun zone.
For those that love to dress up for races, make sure you enter solo or as a group in the 5th annual costume contest with prizes awarded to the “Best Thanksgiving Theme” and “Most Unique Costume.”
Medals will be awarded to finishers of the kids’ race and 10k race.
All proceeds from the Katy Area YMCAs Turkey Dash go toward their Annual Campaign, a cause that raises money to allow the organization to help those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford to participate in YMCA programs. It also provides scholarships to programs such as child care, summer camps, swim lessons, sports leagues and assistance to various area outreach programs.
