The Centers for Children and Women awarded Ultrasound Practice Accreditation

Texas Children’s Health Plan (TCHP) is excited to announce The Centers for Children and Women have been awarded ultrasound practice accreditation in the area(s) of Standard of Obstetrics and Gynecological Ultrasound by the Ultrasound Practice Accreditation Council of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM).

The recognition was achieved by meeting rigorous voluntary guidelines set by the diagnostic ultrasound profession and having all facets of the practice assessed – including the training and qualifications of physicians and sonographers, equipment maintenance, quality assurance methods and more.

“Obtaining this accreditation exhibits our commitment to clinical excellence and the highest quality of patient care and demonstrates our practice meets the quality assurance requirements of AIUM standards,” said Jodi Harris, Director of The Centers for Children and Women.

“We’re proud of this designation and what it means for our patients,” said Harris. “This achievement is a result of the amazing collaborative efforts of The Centers’ Maternal-Fetal Medicine sonographers and physicians.”
