Orthopedic surgeons attend AAOS 2016 meeting

The Texas Children’s Hospital Orthopedic Surgery Division was well represented at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) 2016 Annual Meeting held recently in Orlando, Fla.

Chief of Orthopedics Dr. John Dormans gave an instructional lecture course on “Congenital Scoliosis: Diagnosis and Treatment,” and he served as moderator for a discussion of “The Scoliosis Research Society at 50: What Have We Learned and Future Directions.”

Dr. Scott Rosenfeld moderated a panel titled “Key Concepts in Musculoskeletal Infections.”

Other orthopedics faculty members in attendance included Dr. William Phillips and Dr. Howard Epps. AAOS represents the largest medical association of musculoskeletal specialists and serves more than 39,000 members worldwide.
