Gibbons receives Humanism In Medicine Award

Dr. William Gibbons, medical director of the Family Fertility Center and chief of reproductive medicine at Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women, has been selected by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine to receive a 2020 Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism In Medicine Award For Practicing Physicians. The Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award for Practicing Physicians honors an ASRM member who as a practicing physician has best demonstrated the ideals of compassionate and respectful care for a patient’s physical and emotional well-being.

The award honors physicians that have made contributions in clinical excellence, empathy with patients and leadership by example of both compassion and professional integrity. Awards will be presented at the 2020 ASRM Gala.

“Your outstanding contributions in clinical excellence, empathy with patients and your leadership by example of both compassion and professional integrity, truly merit this recognition,” said Dr. Catherine Racowsky, president of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. “Your contributions to our field have been enormous, important, and sustained.”
