Dr. Rachel Rau given Chao Physician-Scientist Award for Leukemia Project

Dr. Rachel Rau received the 2015 Chao Physician-Scientist Award for her project “Defining the Role of DOT1L in DNMT3A-Mutant Leukemia.”

The award supports young investigators who are beginning their independent research careers by providing interim funding as they move toward securing NIH grants. It is made possible through the generous gift from the Ting Tsung and Wei Fong Chao Foundation.

Rau is an assistant professor of pediatrics – oncology at Baylor College of Medicine where she is based out of the Cancer and Hematology Centers at Texas Children’s Hospital. She has been recognized as a Scholar of Excellence for her contributions to pediatric oncology research.
