As part of Texas Children’s mission to ensure children have access to high-quality, comprehensive and appropriately funded health care, we are expanding Texas Children’s Health Plan with a new program called STAR Kids. As a result, we are excited to announce we have new positions opening now.
Recently, we announced the expansion of Texas Children’s Health Plan with STAR Kids – a Medicaid managed care program for children and youth age 20 or younger who either receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Medicaid or are enrolled in the Medically Dependent Children Program (MDCP). The Health Plan will help families manage their medical needs as well as acting as care coordinators between physicians and families.
The roles will be different than those at Texas Children’s Hospital. STAR Kids is a managed care environment as opposed to a clinical (i.e., hands-on) setting. We will be hiring case managers, IS staff, and member services representatives, among other positions.
How do I apply?
Like other internal transfers, you would log into MOLI and click Careers under Recruitment Activities. STAR Kids open positions will remain posted for 7 days instead of the normal 3-day period. Please be sure to check back, as we will continue to open new jobs as we meet the operational needs of the Health Plan.
