Are you interested in pursuing a professional nursing degree? If you have been a Texas Children’s employee for at least three years, you may be eligible to apply for the 2018 David and Polly Roth Nursing Education Scholarship.
Texas Children’s Chief of Urology Dr. David Roth and his wife Polly drew inspiration for establishing this financial gift from their desire “to touch individuals on a personal level while allowing them to improve their lives and careers.”
The award is very unique because applicants must be employed in specific types of roles to be eligible. The first scholarship was awarded during Nurses Week 2017 to Corie Harris.
“The scholarship was tremendously helpful,” Harris said. “The overtime hours I would have worked to pay for my tuition were spent studying. I completed last semester with a 4.0 GPA and even made the Dean’s list. I am so grateful for the investment the Roths made in my future.”
