Be a speaker and encourage others on Nurse Professional Day

The Education Council Proudly presents the first ever Nursing Professional Day July 29, 2015.

The purpose of the Nursing Professional Day is to promote professional development of Registered Nurses throughout the Texas Children’s organization. The day will include topics identified from the annual learning needs assessment and therefore enable the participant to enhance knowledge in their field of expertise and gain updates with recent developments in nursing. The Nursing Professional Day is aimed at improving patient care, promoting professional development and nursing excellence.

You asked and we listened to the 1,096 responses to the 2014 Annual Learning Needs Assessment (ALNA). This event is a way for us as nurses to tell the story in our own words, in our own way. It truly represents the desired learning needs across the organization and is a vehicle for nurses to share knowledge in their area of expertise.

Let’s make history with the first-of-its-kind event. Sign up today.
We encourage you to speak in order to support your colleagues and share your knowledge via poster presentations, oral presentations and/or live demonstrations. This event will take place around the clock for 24 hours with continuing nurse education (CNE) offerings, guest speakers, refreshments and vendor representation.

Submit individually or as a team by Friday, May 15, to be a speaker. Click here to access the topic submission form.
